Install

Add the app to your store

The app installs like any Shopify app — no code, no theme surgery to get started.

  1. Open the Bulky Bulk AI Image Editor listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app.
  2. Approve the requested access. The app only asks for write_products — it needs that to add generated photos and videos to your products.
  3. You start with 50 free credits — enough to run a real shoot before picking a plan. Upgrade any time from the app's billing screen.
Tip: you land on a short onboarding screen the first time. It points you straight at your first photoshoot.

The highlight · Bulk Photo Studio

Generate your first bulk photoshoot

This is the heart of the app: turn a single product image into a full set of on-model and in-scene shots — the kind you'd normally book a photographer for.

  1. In the admin, open Studio and choose a product (or upload an image).
  2. Pick a template or describe the look you want, and choose how many shots to generate.
  3. Hit Generate. A multi-agent pipeline plans deliberate variation across angle, role and mood, then renders the whole set.
  4. Review the results and click Add to product to push the ones you love straight onto the product's media.
Tip: generating in bulk is the fastest way to a consistent, brand-looking catalogue — do a whole collection in one sitting.

Video

Animate a product into video

Turn any still — or a shot you just generated — into a short, scroll-stopping clip for the product page or social, on Pro and Studio plans.

  1. From any Studio result, click Animate, or open the Video tab to generate from an image.
  2. Choose a motion. Motions are category-aware — apparel, product and decor each get fitting movement.
  3. Generate, then use Add to product to attach the video to your listing.

In the app: Video tab → Animate selected

Optional · Storefront

Turn on Virtual Try-On

If you sell apparel, you can add an optional theme app block that lets shoppers preview products on themselves — no developer needed.

  1. In Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Open a Product template, click Add block, and choose Virtual Try-On.
  3. Drag it where you want the "Try it on" button, then click Save.

Shoppers then upload a clear, front-facing photo and see a preview of themselves wearing the item — fewer doubts, fewer returns.

Tip: place the block just below the Add-to-cart button — that's where interested shoppers look.

In Shopify: Theme editor → Add block → Virtual Try-On

Billing

Understand credits & billing

Everything the app generates is metered in credits.

  • Each plan includes a monthly allotment — Starter 120, Pro 400, Studio 1,000 credits. Every new install starts with 50 free credits.
  • Need more in a busy month? Overage is pay-as-you-go at $0.20 / credit ($0.17 beyond 2,000 extra), up to a cap you control.
  • Video unlocks on Pro (50 videos / month) and is unlimited on Studio — bring your own Gemini key and any video is 1 credit.
  • See exact usage any time on the billing screen, and upgrade or downgrade whenever you like.

Help

Troubleshooting

  • A generation is slow. First generations can take a little longer while things warm up; results stream in as they finish.
  • Results look off. Start from a clear, well-lit source image and try a different template — quality in equals quality out.
  • The Try-On button isn't showing. Re-open the theme editor and confirm the Virtual Try-On block is added to the active theme's product template, then save.
  • Best-fit product types. The app shines on apparel, accessories and footwear, and works well for broader product imagery too.
